The photobook ‘James’ House’ is about Sobol’s love and admiration for an Inuit man and his continuous fight to provide for his family. Sobol lived in Eastern Greenland while trying to become a hunter and a fisherman. In the meantime, he took pictures of the life he shared with the people living there.
The storyline in ‘James’s House’ takes place between 1999-2002.
For the years Sobol spent in the town Tiniteqilaaq, James’ House was full of emotions, a place
of warmth and embrace. Today the house is empty.
